Nine sourced class names, with a version note
The official English overview lists eight classes: Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Chanter, Cleric, Sorcerer and Spiritmaster. NCSOFT's Chapter 1 announcement also confirms Brawler as an added class.
Brawler availability needs a version check. The update confirms this class exists, but it is not included in the current English overview. We include it as an announced update option and do not claim that all regional versions currently offer it.

Choose the impression your character makes
A character's role can give you a useful starting point for its name. You might want a defender to sound grounded, a shadow fighter to sound restrained or a healer to sound warm. The generator uses these cues to favor certain syllables and creative epithets.
Choose a class, then compare two tones. Heroic and Elegant can create very different results for the same class. Faction stays important: an Asmodian Cleric still uses the Asmodian bank, while an Elyos Templar still uses the Elyos bank.
| Creative role style | Naming preference |
|---|---|
| Balanced | A flexible sound for any character. |
| Blade fighter | Crisp sounds and decisive syllables. |
| Guardian | Steady, resonant sounds. |
| Shadow fighter | Hushed starts and sharp endings. |
| Hunter | Lean, woodland-inspired sounds. |
| Arcane caster | Long vowels and unfamiliar combinations. |
| Spirit caller | Echoing, airy syllables. |
| Healer | Warm, flowing sounds. |
| Chant keeper | Repeating rhythms and melodic vowels. |
Let a name suggest personality
Role cues are a starting point rather than a rule. A firm name might fit a calm defender or a determined fighter. A flowing name might fit a caster, a healer or a character who simply values elegance. You can use a contrasting tone to avoid making every character in the same role sound identical.
The epithets offer a second cue. A warden-themed label may fit a guardian; an echo or dream label may fit a spirit-oriented character. These are original labels for inspiration, not an official list of titles your character can unlock.
Keep class choices separate from naming choices
This page is about naming. It does not rank class performance, recommend a build or claim which class is strongest. Gameplay advice needs current, confirmed game information. A name should be something you still like after your preferred play style changes.
Selecting a class applies its creative naming preference automatically. Any class uses a balanced preference. For example, Templar selects the Guardian style, Cleric selects Healer, Sorcerer selects Arcane caster, and Chanter selects Chant keeper. These are naming suggestions rather than gameplay rankings.
Make your shortlist
- Select a faction and a class in the generator. Confirm that the class is available in your game version.
- Try two tones while keeping the other settings the same.
- Save a few names with different rhythms, then say them aloud.
- Confirm spelling, length and availability in the current game screen.
